Job Description

  • Strategically plan, rollout and manage infrastructure, logistics, order fulfillment, and customer service functions
  • Directly responsible for managing order fulfillment, lab/vendor management & optimization, e-commerce operations, and customer service
  • Solve problems and suggest new methods and processes to improve the customer experience and product
  • Direct, optimize and coordinate full order cycle, including evaluating in-house v. outsourced solutions
  • Liaise and negotiate with suppliers, labs, shipping, and other partners; serve as main relationship partner for lab accounts; optimize and improve processes and operations with lab partners for optimal fulfillment
  • Make recommendations and implement improvements for order fulfillment, customer service optimization and satisfaction, and turnaround times/logistics
  • Recruit, hire, train and manage all front-line staff as company grows
  • Maintain daily and weekly metrics, report to executive team and board, and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements
  • Set up and manage the company's internal infrastructure and operations functions, including office space, hiring and on-boarding, administrative policies & procedures as needed in conjunction with the CEO 

Candidate Skills:

  • Minimum college degree with 8+ years of experience in a similar role, startup experience strongly preferred

  • Adaptable individual that works well in a fast-growing environment with challenging business requirements
  • Fast-paced thinker who learns quickly and makes sound, data-driven decisions
  • Experience identifying, comparing and implementing technical solutions to meet current and future needs
  • Demonstrated track record of successful distribution and logistics management
  • Ability to lead and manage staff, building from a small team to a large organization
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage vendors & partners to achieve overall goals/metrics
  • Team player who actively takes on responsibilities beyond existing job description
